Paris Fashion Week 2026 showcased the designs for the upcoming A/W season. Paris Fashion Week was the final in a long line of shows in New York, London and Milan. The event ran from Mar. 2-10.
Paris once again showed the fashion world why it deserves the reputation as the fashion capital of the world. The shows this season featured standout designs that marked the A/W trends and significant designer debuts.
Back to our roots
Many designers homed in on the trend of looking toward the environment. Christian Dior’s outdoor show and Valentino and Miu Miu’s grass runways were just a couple of designers who made nods to the environment.
Aside from the setting, many designers touched on this with the intention behind their designs.
“The smallness of our human bodies, in the vastness of our world,” said founder and creative director of Miu Miu, Miuccia Prada.
Louis Vuitton shared the sentiment with a grass runway of their own and an emphasis on humanity.
The old and the new
As for the actual clothes, dominant themes included large neck details, patterns, prints and drop waist hems. Not to mention a lot of aqua and navy blue, burgundy and bright red and butter yellow were common colors outside of neutral tones.
Many of the patterns and prints featured stripes and polka dots, which aren’t new trends and it seems to be here to stay.
Designers who strayed from patterns focused instead on color blocking, with some unique pairings.
Chanel was a standout, featuring a mix of color blocking, patterns and textured fabric. Large neck details were also featured in the form of chunky jewelry and flattering collars.
If it wasn’t a neck tie or collar accentuating the neckline, designers experimented with a deep V neck. While Hermes leaned partial to the collar, Zimmerman utilized the V.
Could it be?
As per usual, the runways featured some familiar faces, from top models to celebrity guest stars.
Off the runway, celebs were packed into the audience with Zendaya, Margot Robbie, and Bill Skarsgård among the mega celebs who showed face in Paris. Though some new to the spotlight were welcomed as well, Alysa Liu, Hudson Williams and Rachel Sennott all entered exclusive front row seating.
Known for stunt casting in their shows, Miu Miu had many celebs featured on its runway. K-pop star Yeonjun, American actress and IT girl Chloë Sevigny and supermodel legend Kristen McMenamy joined the runway.
Perhaps one of the more controversial carpet features was TikTok personality Braden Peters, better known as Clavicular who walked for Elena Valdez. Clavicular is known online for “looksmaxxing” and his particularly narcissistic persona. “Looksmaxxing” is particularly popular with teen males, and is a term for enhancing physical looks. The community has developed a large following behind Clavicular.
In with the new
Paris Fashion Week 2026 displayed a great showing for what is to be expected out of the coming A/W season.
Continued trending colors will remain popular, while neck details will become a bigger outfit staple. Polka dots and stripes are here to stay and feathers/fur trim are going to continue their rise back into popularity.
