Annually, Funktasy takes up the challenge to choose the top 10 EDM DJs from thousands of prospective artists. This process is a rewarding workout that the Funktasy team enjoys immensely. The top 10 EDM DJs of the year is an important distinction that is earned only by the best.
Every year the Funktasy team searches for 10 artists who have displayed exemplary music the previous year. Their talents and hard work have led them to create some inspiring music experiences. The Funktasy team wishes to reward that dedication and display their talents to the world. In no particular order, the following artists are the Top 10 EDM DJs of 2024.

Marshmello, real name Christopher Comstock, is an American electronic music producer and DJ. DJ Marshmello is known for his groove-oriented, synth and bass-heavy music. Multiple songs of his have received muli-platinum certificates and reached the Top 40 within the Billboard Top 100. DJ Marshmello is an early SoundCloud creator, releasing his first works on the website in 2015. His SoundCloud releases allowed Marshmello to gain a following including fellow DJ Skrillex. Marshmello has worked with artists such as Khalid, Selena Gomez, and Bastille. Marshmello will be at the Veld Festival in Toronto on Aug. 3. While building up to the recent tour, Marshmello also recently released a cookbook with food styled thematically after his image.

Alexandra Margo Sholler, stage name Alison Wonderland, is an Australian DJ and singer. Wonderland began as a classical cellist, then became a bass guitarist for indie bands, before finding EDM music. The Australian DJ debuted in 2012 with a remix in Sam Sparro’s I Wish I Never Met You, and a tour of the Australian festival scene. She debuted her first album, Run, in 2015. Mental health issues have made Wonderland slow down and rehabilitate, avoiding touring or releasing any albums for a short period. Wonderland’s latest album, Loner, was released in 2022 after her hiatus period. The album reached 9th place in ARIA’s Top 50 Albums and 3rd in the U.S. on Billboard’s Top Electronic/Dance Albums in 2022. Recently, Wonderland released the single, “Satellite”, with British DJ Dimension.
